I found some small, inexpensive digital voltmeter/ammeter panel displays recently and thought it would be nice to have an inexpensive inline meter that I could use to measure various devices.
I designed a case and by version 3, I think I’ve got a nice little gadget.
The connectors on the back of the meter module would require a very deep enclosure. To mitigate that, I removed them and soldered directly to the meter PCB.
At first, I used hot glue to keep the power pole connectors in place. In my latest version, I added grooves that the PowerPole connectors slide into. Set screws hold them snugly in place.
Taking a photo of the meter in use is difficult due to the way the display segments are refreshed.
